Apollo’s Gate on the island of Naxos.
The island of Delos, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, a religious and financial center of Greece for centuries and meeting place of the Delian league. Centuries of weathering and looting have taken their toll, but it’s estimated 80% of the ruins are still buried beneath the hills.
